Robert, sorry to inform you, but in 2010 we don't refer to women as chicks. I'm sure they find it slightly demeaning. I wouldn't want my wife or daughter labeled so.
Shouldn't you be practicing?

I think the Chick reference is forgivable because of the play on words with Chick Corea. And a female bass player has other advantages - after the gig she can make the hard-working lads a brew - or stroke some kittens - or do whatever else chicks like to do
