Although I have a background in the sound world, i'm a self employed production lighting engineer. I believe it's actually projection. There is a smart system going around based on pixel mapping an object then using projectors to project on to the exact contours of the object. It's a system that people will be seeing a lot more of during the years..! Very impressive stuff.. Regards. Rimmer
