With a new HP laptop I can't seem to get Akoustik piano installed. Does Kontakt 4 do the same thing with New York Concert Grand installed?

They have a 50% off sale today and I would be interested if it does similar things as my AP.

You say "Does Kontakt 4 do the same thing" Do you mean does it make piano-like sounds when given MIDI data then yes. Or do you mean is it also hard to install?

Yu can find out the answer to both questions for free. NI offers a free version that you can run and see if you can get it installed. It comes with about 100 digital instruments but I don't know which or if any pianos.

I'm looking for a place to record pieces using my Roland FP-4 digital and then use a grand piano synth to save to wave and mp3. I don't need a stand alone piano where I hear the sounds through my speakers, I just want to enhance the recording sounds in my recorded music. Akoustik is perfect for me, but now I can't get it to register and authenticate in my new laptop.
