From a post on Facebook by his son... Zeb Billings passed away December 6 in Naples from complications of Congestive Heart Failure. He passed peacefully Here is an interview he did for NAMM's Oral History a few years ago RIP Dad Zeb Billings / NAMM.org Zeb Billings opened Billings Pianos in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1956 beginning a long and celebrated career in the music industry. With great success as a retailer, Zeb branched out into publishing when he saw the need to include packets of sheet music in the bench of every piano sold. The idea and others led to Billings Publishing, which he would later sell to Hal Leonard. Following in his footsteps is his son Greg Billings, who operated the Steinway dealership in Naples, Florida and his grandson Grant, who operates a store in Madison, Wisconsin.

Zeb was a giant in the promotion and support of the piano and home organ industry. His publications led the way for the hobby of adult music making which made the 60's and 70's a great time for all who were involved. RIP
