+1001 re "wait". Dr. Popper said the FP-7f has the best digital piano sound under $15k.

I think I'd rather have the new FP7F then the older RD700gx. The new versin will be a pretty big jump.

I should wait too. I'm waiting for the Roland FP7F myself too. It has PHAIII ivory touch keys and Roland's superNATURAL piano sound engine which will all be pretty awesome. The Roland HP307 also has PHAIII ivory touch and superNATURAL sound, so you could go to a local store and play on that one to see the difference between the FP7 and FP7F. I don't know if the keys of the HP307 and the FP7F will be exactly the same, but I think they will.
Here's a demo of the FP7F, in case you didn't see it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZweKdIw-iQ

Grtz.
Robin

Oh god that video speaker suffered from bad cut'n paste syndrome. I wonder how much trouble she had pronouncing all the marketspeak Roland cooked up for us this time?

I've grown a little suspicous over superNATURAL over the the past few days. Rolands theme here seems to be to let us hear as little as possible beforehand. I've yet to come across a sound demo (not counting I can go down the local store and test the thing on the hp307, I mean really compare just the sounds with.. other sounds.. ok I need breakfast).

But, just wait.

Seems to have a more spatial, less "packaged" quality.

I admit it sound very expressive, albeit in an eerie way (halfmodeled I guess). Now if we had a similar test between UPHI and SN as well I'd be a happy puppy (and perhaps even reverse order so you would know it's not your ears playing tricks).

+3 in the wait for FP-7f in any case.

I've recently purchased an FP7F. I am extremely happy with it. Keyboard action is very good and the piano sounds are very realistic.
