I recently purchased a Zoom Q3HD.

I wanted to post a song on YouTube (Which I've done many times in the past using my Sony HD Video camera).

I recorded the song that I played on my acoustic piano in HD (I used 720 and 1080 resolution-recorded twice to see if there was a difference) and I did not change any of the other factory settings-sound was the factory setting- I believe it is AAC but I'm not sure as I'm at work right now). I also did not edit the two videos.

Although they seemed fine when I played the videos on my home computer, after I uploaded to YouTube (and I guess they processed the video/sound or both), the sync between my playing and the video was way off such that it looked like the sound was recorded in another session.

I'm not sure what to do about this because I would really like to post something with my new Zoom but the way it's currently coming out on YouTube looks terrible due to this sync problem. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem are appreciated. Thanks.

Pedies, that happened to me once, and I was baffled. I then re-uploaded the video to YouTube and it was fine the second time. confused You might try reuploading it again and see what happens. There have also been times that when I play the video on my computer with the little box player thingie that pops up, it will look out of sync, but the video itself is actually find and uploads to YouTube fine. Wish I had an answer for you, and seeing as I want to get a Q3HD myself (Santa, are you listening? wink ), I'm eager to see how it turns out for you.

That always happens to me if I upload the file directly from my camera. Instead, I open it in QuickTime X then choose File > Save as... and select one of the HD formats instead of "Movie." This re-encodes it and seems to work perfectly every time. Give that a try if you're on a Mac, or try exporting the video from whatever software you use. Some video editors have special options for exporting to the web as well.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I will try them tonight after work. It sounds like one of those suggestions will probably work.
