In my opinion, they make sure to put words to everything in the first book to give inexperienced players something familiar to think about, but in book 2 you're considered to be a big boy who doesn't need that all the time. smile

oh ok. i thought it was a different version of the book i bought or just me. but yeah, i noticed that. that bk 1 had a lot more songs with words. i could see why they'd go in that direction, i guess. confused thanks though.

another question though. do you think alfred's all in one course is a good approach for a method or do you use something different?

Is it "does a lot..." or is it "do a lot..."?

All songs have words - otherwise it wouldn't be a song - a song without words is a contradiction in terms - unless it's a "Song Without Words", in which case it's OK. laugh

Yes, Alfred 2 has fewer pieces without words (non-songs), and yes, Alfred's AIO is a fine instructional series - it's highly debatable which basic method is the best (there may never be an end to that debate), but Alfred is good enough for most Adult Beginners most of the time.

Actually, "does" is 3rd person singular - everything else (1st & 2nd person singular & all 3 plurals) use "do." Same goes for "goes." smile

No, I think he means "I didn't come on here...", doesn't he? Or don't I get it?

JF

Hey Joe - we're only kidding - just having fun with words - you are having fun, aren't you? wink

You don't like semi-helpful and non-serious advice about word usage presented in a playful way? Maybe you should have stopped before you lost your sense of humor... smile
