Cheryl, a trip to Chicago (to see The Magic Flute) meant I missed piano practice this past Saturday and Sunday. What a great excuse! smile

Didn't take delivery of my first piano until October 6 -- past the deadline -- but I have played every day since then except for a few days when out of town on business.

I'd love to "enlist" for 2012.

BTW, what do the other (non-MOYD) symbols mean in the signatures of people like casinitaly (just above this)?

Welcome ClsscLib - sounds like you're in the right frame of mind for MOYD! The new thread will start up after Christmas!

The little symbols that look like triangles are actually ribbons with a medal - the medal has a grand piano with a red dot in it (trust me, it does) - Each one is for participation in the Adult Beginner Forums (ABF) quartely on-line recital. 1 medal per recital, when you have done 10 there is a 10symbol, and there is also a 20symbol. The little grand piano is for performing in public.

Ok, I'll update you!

I realize now that very few people actually read this thread......... the new MOYD thread/sign up for 2012 will be shortly after Christmas.

Looking forward to signing up for 2012 after the holidays. So far, except for excused travel dates, I look to be on track for making it through 2011 without missing a day. Although there have been far too many 10 minute days lately, alas.

Although not on this years list.. I've been practicing for a few weeks and managed to not miss one day despite odd schedules and illness. It's practice for next year.. hehe Those 5-10 min days are rather annoying....

I did sign up for MOYD for 2010 and have practiced every day no excuses since then. I'm waiting for my RPT to finish tuning for today's practice session. I neglected to check back to this thread. I'm still probably at intermediate+. I'm taking a fun group piano course and a university piano class with a quiz every class session. I would like to get the MOYD banner for 2010 and 2011 but since I didn't sign up for 2011, would I still qualify?

J&J - it is all on the honour system here. By all means if you made it thorugh 2010 - but the banner in your signature -and if you've been getting to the piano every day this year, you qualify. I'll add you to the list.

Was on vacation in Santa Fe 3-18 til today 3-23. I took my music just in case a piano appeared to me but the only one was being played by the Cantina pianist who accompanies the singers. We celebrated the good news that the breast MRI was clean. Next one due in six months. It's spring here in Colorado and glorious.
