Does anyone have one of these or know anything about them? One is listed locally for not too much money.

I copied this off of an ebay listing.

The perfect digital piano for any talented artist! This baby grand piano does anything you could imagine for music making. Pricing was originally $7,000. It’s in excellent condition, no scratches, dents, or hardware/electronic problems, barely been used, beautiful mahogany, shiny smooth finish. Sounds amazing and it will never go out of tune since its electronic.

The 2600 series was the last of the Baldwin digital pianos (after major financial problems, the remains of Baldwin was purchased by Gibson Guitars who dropped the idea of offering digital pianos). The Pianovelle line was actually manufactured by Generalmusic in Italy. During the time that Baldwin was the US distributor for Generalmusic products, in other parts of the world the 2600 series and other models were sold under the GEM name brand. Since 2001, Generalmusic Corporation has been and will remain the US distributor for Generalmusic products. As a result Digital piano's are hard to come by and a good investment if you are really into creating music, or even if you are into collectibles.

Yes, an impressive sounding digital piano, but.
My church Music Director had this exact model, broken, at home. He had tried for a year, and no one was willing to service it. Baldwin piano has not answered the phone for at least a decade. I found a guy on line, the link below, whose business is supplying technical manuals for all kinds of electronic music gear and ordered the factory service manual for $9 download. I have an amazing friend with extensive electronics design experience (84 YO, by the way) and he agreed to take a look at Jerry's dead Baldwin. I could not even read the part numbers on the schematics of the Manual, but amazing Don just looked at the layout of the various circuits on the print, went right to a pair of resistors he knew to be troublesome on other devices, bridged them with little strands of wire from lamp cord........and the piano has worked ever since!

So unless you also know of an electronics wizard, in Kansas, I would think it better to spend $1900 on a new DP. Or, look at craigslists and Ebay for a used Kawai CN91, the one with the "spruce sound board" speaker system. I'll bet that would approach the Baldwin in sound and features.

What do you mean by "not too much money."? Also what do you intend to do with it? Depending on that we could suggest some newer equivalents with less risk.
