This is a very good performance for any age of this virtuoso Liszt piece, but considering the fact that your son is 12 makes it an even better one... I guarantee it.

The little descending phrases at around 1:55 were beautifully shaped, not tossed off as many others do, and the repeated octave notes passage was a model of clarity. The detailed dynamics and articulation throughout were awe-inspiring. For a mature musician this would be a very good performance, for one at age 12 its simply breathtaking. BRAVO! A perennially hopeful amateur! Pianos: Boston GP178, Currently attempting: Bach: WTC I/1,5;II/12; Chopin Polonaise in A; Etude 10/5; Brahms Op 118 No 2 Intermezzo in D; Scarlatti Sonata L23.
