Probably won't, but IF it did, that would be the most hilarious thing ever.

About as unlikely as any reference to Rachmaninov playing Prokofiev 3. (Can you imagine it just the same?)

But 'hilarious'? That's an odd choice of word.

Yeah! For starters, I'd be REALLY happy for them... But I mean, they had a losing record in the regular season and win the Super Bowl. Maybe I should say "ironic".

But Americans might sometimes use the world "hilarious" in slightly different senses for the word besides what it regularly means. Or maybe I just chose the wrong word to use. ha

They kicked our sorry butts (Rams) but I don't think they can make it past New Orleans.

I think many Americans might use "hilarious" as synonymous with "Schadenfreude".

I like threads that fall into the category of news announcements or reports of interesting projects. Things like Denk/Isserlis at the 92nd Y, Ravinia broadcasts on Medici.tv, the "They Came to Play" video (which I bought and enjoyed very much!), information on editions, historical knowledge our members share, the recording forums, e-citals, the Mozart fingering thing we did, audition and recital programming advice, etc...

My least favorite threads are:

Any topic with "vs." in the title.
Any topic with "favorite" in the title.
Any topic that consists solely of someone posting a YouTube video.

Basically, any topic that reminds me of the Chris Farley Show:

And NOT soon enough.

Just think, if fortepiano had lasted instead of pianoforte we might have been playing the forte and posting on Forte World!
