Looks like a war-era piano -- often not the best time for pianos. Still blue book says nice things..."Thoroughly commendable pianos and player-pianos of fine tone quality made by the Bjur Bros. Co., in their factory in New York."

Dear Ken,

Thanks so much for the info. It belongs to an old friend and she wanted some information prior to selling it. It was painted red and looked like it belonged in a brothel.

Isn't the market flooded with things like that? (I hear the Feds just auctioned off the assets of the Mustang Ranch, in Nevada, for back taxes).

Wonder what the "assets" of the Mustang Ranch would have been?

Geez, I think I just embarressed myself! \:o \:o

Kluurs, The 'Blue Book" seems to say "Nice Things" about EVERY piano it reviews as far as I can see. It even "Raves" about the dreaded "Currier" - quite possibly THE WORST American piano EVER made according to the majority of comments you'll read on this site.
