Good to see you are still active in the business (you haven't updated/changed your sig).
We would like to catch up with you if possible.

I'd like to pick your brains a bit if you don't mind.

Best,

Frank B.

Yikes, it's next week!

Can't wait. Hope to see old friends and make new ones.

By the way, Freddie Ravel is playing Thursday 5:30 at the Brodmann Piano Display.
We plan to catch the performance.

Who is going to the NPTA Reception/Dinner/Meeting?

Red Lion Inn on Harbor, walking distance from convention center.
6pm reception (music, drinks, muchies)
7pm dinner
8pm meeting.

If you are planning to attend, please be sure to let Dawn know.

From Dawn:
"Happy New Year!

Many of you have sent your RSVP for the dinner on Saturday the 15th. THANK YOU!

For those of you who have not, PLEASE email or call me today! I don't want us to be short of food and need to let the hotel know how many people we are serving. Let me know if you are coming and any guests you might be bringing.

Live music (Nancy Wilson's pianist will be playing with bass & drums), great food and an exciting evening are planned. We hope you all can make it!

Best wishes,

-Dawn Demars

NAMM is over! YAY! My feet and back are tired, but I sure enjoyed seeing so many friends. So sorry I couldn't talk with you, Frank - you caught me at a time I really had to be elsewhere.

Bear was hanging out in the Young Chang booth quite a bit - perhaps an announcement in that regard is pending.

Steve Cohen visited a few times, and we shared a nice meal out - I got to hear all his favorite stories!

Some very fun music making in the 'Lounge 88' area - a stage and seating area in the 3rd floor (mostly) piano exhibit area.

The piano exhibits were smaller again this year, but there were still plenty of very nice pianos being seen and played and heard. I may be slightly biased, but I thought the Kawai pianos were the nicest. :-) But I did enjoy playing instruments by Yamaha, Mason & Hamlin, Fazioli, Seiler, Brodmann, Young Chang, Hailun, Pearl River, and a few others.

Time to prop my feet up and rest a little - but it's back to the office tomorrow morning.
