Hi Folks, Some of you may remember my piano search a while culminated in ordering 'sight-unseen' a Sauter M-line 130.. I went to the dealers to see my new piano yesterday and although it is only 3 days now until delivery, I had to take a quick pic and thought I would share with you. More to follow if you want

Hi Genaa, I love it. A marvelous choice! This piano knocks most baby and many parlor grands for six - (a cricket term for the uninitiated). Congratulations, this will surely be an exciting week for you.

Really pretty! I especially like the wood accent above the keys.

Digitus, Calibrating no problem, but re-adjusting the hygrometer to suit is easier said than done - wink, wink.........

hehe - cheers for the lovely compliments folks. I have barely had an opportunity to play, deciding to wait on delivery to my home before really getting 'stuck in'. First impressions at the dealer were impressive however both for action feel and tone. The veneer is actually burl walnut, and I am extremely pleased with how that has turned out. I particularly like how the veneer seems to be graduated from darker in the bass to lighter in the treble, though that may be my eyes deceiving me - will check again tomorrow on delivery Only one more sleep now - must do a bit of work and then follow Ej's advice and get some sleep More to follow soon though.....

and a few more close-ups of the insides of this most exquisite piano polished frame and heartwood maple hammer rail, walnut hammer heads (black abel hammers) looking back along the rail towards hygrometer brass damper barrels in bass section and more beautiful maple heartwood lining cabinet hygrometer (will calibrate this over next few days if it reads significantly different to my other hygrometers...) pedals with felt lined brass liners into cabinetry, centre pedal is sostenuto. Looks like image-shack site just went down so will have to post the last couple later on hope you enjoy folks - will talk to a friend about possible recordings...
