But I'm interested, why is it not a good intro to Prokofiev? does that apply to me or just to young students? thank you AZN. I thought you were going to start your students on that piece before other Prokofiev pieces. That's what I meant. You can play any Prokofiev you want, but students should be introduced to easier Prokofiev works before hitting anything in that Romeo and Juliet book.

When I purchased my copy (same edition), it was 27DM, about $10. I wonder what's current price in Germany is. Is that price from 1985? I bought mine two years ago for around $35. The bookstore lady blamed GATT.

Mid to late 90s, I'd guess. I was teaching in Kindsbach (not far from the Landstuhl Army Medical Center) and we had a great music store in town.
