I just purchased a Sejung, Model SJG 380. I bought it for a great price, but now I'm having second thoughts about the quality? Any information you could share about Sejung Digital pianos would be great!!

the sejung is an entry level digital. they have nice cabinetry, but that is where it ends. IMO they are generations behind in sound and touch. being you are a music educator, i think this is more noticeable.
why consider one of the big 3: Roland, Yamaha, Kawai (no particular order). they do cost more, but you get what you pay for.

How does it play? If it plays okay, then it's
okay. If you opened up your Sejung, all you'd
see inside is a few computer chips and other
electrical components connected to the keyboard
and speakers with wires. That is, digital
pianos are essentially computers, and they
are constructed much like personal computers,
from parts that can be easily connected
to each other. You could buy a circuit board,
power supply, RAM chips, hard drive, monitor,
case, and keyboard and snap them together and
you have a pc that's just as good as one
from Dell. Likewise, any small company
can buy the computer chips, speakers, keyboard,
etc. and assemble a good digital piano.
You see them selling under names like: Sejung,
Adagio, Williams, Diginova, Hemingway,
Winchester, Viscount, Galileo, Princeton, etc.
One forum member tried every big-name brand
of digital piano in stores and rejected
them all in favor of an Adagio, bought
sight-unseen online--apparently because of
the catchy name mainly. Another forum
member likes Winchester digitals better
than any other brand. These lesser-known
brands sell, usually at prices below
the big brands, and people are satisfied
with them. Sejungs in particular seem
to have established themselves solidly
with a number of acoustic piano stores as the
only digital they sell.

if i were you, i wouldn't buy this or any not well known brands as gyro mentioned, unless you would want to take a chance with your money. go with known brands when you know you can count on the quality and can access a plenty of good reviews from others.

i have to disagree. you can see and hear and tell a BIG difference between the brands you mentioned and the big 3. We used to sell some of the 'off' brands. Based on my experience, the 'off' brands we tried sounded inferior, played inferior, and even the cabinet parts were inferior to our main brands. Even the screws used to put the cabinet together were inferior. There is reason why those brands you mentioned cost less.

People buy pianos, and anything for a variety of reasons. No one in our family is a professional musician, or for that matter has a discerning enough ear to tell that one pianos sound is better than another, especially when not side by side.
We too had a 'furniture' need and one spot to put it that necessitated a mini grand. I saw the Sejung at Jim Laabs site and found it attractive, especially the price - up to a third less than a Yamaha. I was reluctant to buy sight unseen though. Through chance, I discovered an old friend of mine that lived near Jim Laabs and was a customer for years there. He tried the Sejung, liked it so I bought it.
For us, it has been great. My daughter's music teacher likes it also. It looks beautiful and does what we need it to do. You have to be able to justify the additional cost to you - the functional utility of that cost. Needing a starter, needing a piece of furniture, needing to feed a family, this fit the bill. Pick a Honda SUV or a Lexus SUV, a Porsche Boxster or a Mazda Miata. Better car or better value- its up to you. I hope the Sejung will prove to be the value I've heard it is. Time will tell - but, at a third the cost......
Also, I would never expect a dealer of the 'big' three to say here that an off name might be a good deal, can you say conflicting interests?
On the other hand, something I've learned from other forums (electronic, auto): people are generally going to pump up the item or manufacturer of the item they have purchased - almost to a fault (yes, I am including myself here.) You have to take it all in.

I was wondering if anyone out there has any long term experience with the sejung 330? I can't find much info about it (as in reviews).I just purchased a brand new sejung sjp 330 for $750. I've had a yamaha clavinova clp 350 for over 10 years (it was used when I purchased it). So far, I really like the sejung, but was wondering if I got a good deal or not....The sejung actually sounds better than the yamaha, but like I said its (the yamaha) really old and I haven't heard the newer models.

Esha2011, my apologies. Usually when new visitors ask essentially the same question in multiple forums/threads it can be seen as spamming with a hidden agenda.

PianoWorld is a very busy place with lots of knowledgeable members, therefore I believe that if any folks here know about Sejung instrument they will respond promptly.

As for myself, I'm afraid I do not have any information about this particular brand, however their US site appears to be located at http://www.sejungusa.com/
