Okay, so I have student who is in Grade 3 at school, and I just had 4 girls students transfer to me! Thing is that one of the girls who is also in Grade 3 at school comes to her piano lesson after this boy student, and this mad crush has started! She asks about him, and he asks about her and when she arrives to her lesson, they are all nervous and stuff! Funny things is that his piano playing has increased 100%! His family did just buy a grand piano so maybe or rather, most definitely, his piano playing has increased because of that too! But anyways, my question is, have any of your students ended up having a crush on each other? It's just fun to see things like this unfold!

Anyways, I could use this to my advantage, and have them play for one another before and after their actual lesson! , or maybe I just keep my teacher "nose" out of it!

Any teachers experienced this sort of thing happening in their studios! I honestly shouldn't enjoy this so much!

Very cute. I have a boy who always talks about another girl I teach, without there being any obvious segue into talking about her. He'll tell me she was unhappy about taking a test that day, or didn't want to touch worms for the science activity they did in class. Baby crushes are so adorable!

I did this with two first graders.

The next lesson (after their duet was done and performed at our Winter recital), they announced 'We're going to get weddinged.'

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! Too funny!them saying,
"We're going to get WEDDINGED!" hahahahahahahahahahaha Love that!

So it's official!
Not that they are setting a wedding date, but that they both agreed to play a "duet" together!
As much as I just hate organizing duets, I'll do it for them.

But just a lesson learned! He arrived just before her lesson ended (of course) and she was playing on my grand piano which is not in the studio, but where he can sit on the couch and listen to her play! And he was kind of "beaming" listening with much attention! Very polite for a boy! Anyways, so then just as she's getting her coat on, he runs to the piano and plays a piece with perfection! ! this is so cute, I can hardly take it all in! So I ask her while he's there, "What do you think about playing a duet with Ethan?" and she says "SURE"! Then when he was done playing, to impress her no doubt! I asked him the same question, and he says "No, I don't think so!"

Anyways, he quickly speaks up and say! "SO WHEN DO YOU WANT US to DO THIS DUET?????" . . .

As if this all isn't funny enough, I ask her how old she is and she says she's 8! Then I ask him the same question and he says, "Well, I'll be 9 in a few days! So I I just tell people I'm 9! Even though I'm still 8, I'll be "9" in a few days! So I'm officially . . ,. 9!"

Honestly, this is all just too funny! So the duet is a GO!

Maybe I should have consulted the parents about this first?
