After finally getting fed up with pages falling out of my Dover Edition Beethoven and Haydn, I started asking around for solutions. At the local music store, I started a conversation with a store clerk who had the same problem. He recommended I take the Dovers to Kinko's and get them rebound. Does anyone else do this? I did it with my Haydn and I absolutely love it!!!

I had mine spiral bound at a local music store. Works like a charm.

Do it all the time. Staples charges $5.50 per book, well worth it.

I had all my Dovers' spiral bound at an office supply and loved it. Nowadays, I just read from my computer monitor. I feel your pain, Dover sucks!

My Dover edition of Chopin actually doesn't fall apart at all, although I have been playing it a lot... The paper quality isn't the best though.

My big problem with Dover is that they don't stay open.. the only books I have ever had that fell apart were from the old Warner books. They were so bad they would actually break into pieces.

My "old" Dovers, that is, from the 70s & 80s, are fine. No problem with pages falling out, or books not staying open. I haven't bought any new for a while now (I have bought some 2nd hand), but one of my students bought the Beethoven sonatas and pages are falling out all over the place.

Actually it can be a quite good edition, so I wouldn't say that.

What I did was rip out the pages one by one (I had to use the score for a concert), and put them in a binder. Much easier!

I bought my Chopin edition new not long after I bought the piano. The paper is cheap, I need clips to keep the book open..., but luckily it doesn't fall apart.... And it was very cheap compared to other editions...
