I have a Kawai PN-70 Digital Piano. It is about 8 years old. All of a sudden the f above middle C has quit sounding at all. I'm afraid my daughter who is one may have been trying to play on it and hit the key too hard. Is this difficult or expensive to fix? I teach some lessons on my digital piano and will have to postpone lessons until I can get it fixed.

bobcat79, the PN70 is from 1997, so it's a little more than 8 years old.

Regardless, the 'F' key not sounding is possibly the result of a broken sensor/switch in that particular key. Due to it's age, I'm afraid I am unfamiliar with this particular model, however it may be worthwhile emailing/calling Kawai US to ask if the instrument can be repaired.

Thanks James. I will check into their website. I appreciate the advice.

I emailed the Kawai Company and received two emails back, complete with a list of digital piano techs in my area that work on Kawai Digital Pianos. I contacted one today and will be taking it to get fixed. The tech is within 5 miles of my house. Thanks so much for the advice.
