Here is a video of me playing Chopin's famous Waltz #6 in D Flat, "Minute". Sorry for the sort of crappy sound quality, it was taken with my cell phone and for the mistakes and the slow down in the middle there...I lost my train of thought for a sec, plus it always seems to be a little more difficult to play when you know there is a camera on you! I hope you all enjoy.

Sounds good. How long did it take you to learn it?

About 3 weeks of on and off practicing. I'm learning new American Songbook material daily, so it's a balancing act time-wise to get everything in I want to do. It seemed a lot harder to play than it actually is now that I can somewhat play it! Thank you for the remarks!

That's pretty fast..or to me it is. I sight read very slowly and it takes me forever to get through pieces. I'm probably at a grade 4 level or so not sure. I'm working on a Final fantasy 7 piece right now. It's been over 3 weeks lol. I blame that on not having a piano and only playing when I have time to ride my bicycle over to the college and practice.

Yeah I am a terrible sight reader. It takes me a while to work stuff out. The nice thing about this Waltz is the repetition of the musical phrases. It's a very fun piece to play and is sure to gather a few smiles from those around you listening! smile

Final Fantasy has some great music orchestrated for it! Good luck with that piece!

Thanks guys!

Dave, I never did pursue classical piano much, especially Chopin because I never had the facilities until recently to really play the stuff. It's actually quite enjoyable playing classical on the NP88. Thanks for the comps man!

Nice video Zachary! How about sharing with everyone how long you've been playing? It amazes me that you are pretty adept at playing Chopin already. I am very envious!
