Hello all, I have posted here a couple times before. I had the opportunity to play with the school orchestra last May, and I just now had the chance to post the audio recording of the first movement of Ravel's piano concerto in G on youtube. Here is the link if you are interested in taking a listen.

Hope you enjoy!

Well done! I enjoyed it. So was that your final performance?

I used to see my teacher rehearsing that with the 2nd piano almost every week! So I hope I can make some helpful comments...
- I have found the orchestra pretty odd (or weak?) occasionally, like 0:15 I can hear the piano chords very clearly but not quite for the orchestra. Probably because of its size though...
- 3:55 I personally think it is more exciting to play this clearly without pedal. Also, is this passage accents every 4 notes?
- 6:57 after the cadenza: This part is awfully hard - my teacher actually cheated on this bit. Don't know how though cool

The notes I handle no better than many pianists. But the pauses between the notes - ah, that is where the art resides! - Schnabel

You may not have noticed, but there is a sub-forum specifically set up for posting user recordings.
