You must be visualizing the keys. HEAR the tones, and let your brain hardwire between your ears and your fingers rather than the circuitous route of eye-brain-fingers-ears.

I have been concentrating on listening a lot today, and surprise! I am 'seeing' better results!

A couple of weeks ago I got frustrated during my lesson. I normally have a terrible potty mouth, but I try to keep it in check around most people (like my piano teacher!). Anywho....for me, it came out more like "shhhh-grrr.....FOOEY!!!" :-D

I know exactly what you're talking about. Sometimes it seems to help to just walk away from it and come back later.
