Thought I should put up a picture of my new Roland RD 700NX.

After months of searching and reading advice on here I finally got one. I was considering the FP7F but having built in speakers wasn't important so went with the better piano.

For those considering a digital/stage piano, after playing it a few weeks have to say I am still delighted and would recommend it. The action and sound is the best that I have found.

Haven't noticed that note cut off is a problem for me given that its predominantly piano that I play but I can see that it might be a problem for those who layer sounds a lot. However, I wouldnt let that put you off!

Thanks for all the advice from everyone here!

Grats with your purchase (i sound like a salesman saying it like this... )

I was doubting between the two (see another topic). In the end, i'm going for an fp7, however.. none is bought yet... just postponed orderd.

I would love to know other then the speakers and interface.. pure in sound and playing, why you chose the 700Nx over the FP7F?

Congats!

Anyway you can update the piano by yourself... it shouldn't be difficult.

Chose it as I wanted something slightly more portable (I know there isnt much difference though).

Also, more supernatural sounds and ability to edit.

Plus, I think I did notice a slight difference in the keyboard.

Yes well done, I made the same decision to get the RD700NX a few weeks ago despite all the talk of note stealing etc. Like you I haven't regretted it. The note stealing issue now seems to be resolved by Roland - just download the latest OS. There are some links to this on other RD700NX threads on this forum.

All the best.

3 SN pianos in the NX, 1 in the FP-7F.
3 SN EPs in the NX, sampled EPs in the FP-7F.

Yhea, that's what was being told in my topic :-)
But about the adjustability of the sounds... SN or not. I was a bit surpriced, because when I tested the fp-7f, I could edit the piano's. (maybe I didn't do enough research, and mix things up :-) )

Love the Pic and the Piano (grabbed one for my wife recently). So is the Gator case the way to go? Is it big enough? Snug enough?
