Practicing shouldn't consist of playing endless wrong notes. You should be practicing it more slowly.

Dude..... you need a teacher to observe you and teach you how to practice, because you really don't know. You'd have much faster results if you knew.

Agree. Also I think your practice is not organised enough. Sometimes after about 2-3 mins you work on a particular section, you "gave up" and jump to the other section...

Talking about slow practice, I have found that even very accomplished pianists that I know do not practice slow. (I spy people practicing sometimes...). I don't understand why. It makes me feel dumb. Perhaps even beginner practice faster than I do.

(I work extremely slowly - I am practicing Liszt's La Leggierezza with tempo of 1 crotchet = 48....) confused

The notes I handle no better than many pianists. But the pauses between the notes - ah, that is where the art resides! - Schnabel

I actually thought about streaming my practicing too, but the sound quality on my webcam is just crap when I streamed it via justin.tv to my close friends so I decided not to.

BTW, justin.tv records the entire stream so you can watch it again, but I don't think ustream does this.

I know it is difficult, but you should stick to your original promise:

But you do need to sleep too, and also some breaks during the day. There must be some enjoyability even in practice, and you must try to concentrate on that aspect.

By the way, I have ADSL 2+, but it keeps buffering...

I hate to say this, but technically this is way over your head at this point.

You shouldn't be making mistakes at this stage. You should be playing passages very slowly, without pedal, hands seperately and together and working on small sections at a time.

Settle down, Skippy. I didn't say I was expecting Horowitz. I simply said that technically the Ballade is too advanced for you yet. It's not an insult.

How can you know im technically weak for this piece ? Thats odd, you dont even see my hands position and i didnt say you are insulting at me im just surprised. Making mistakes not mean bad technic as i said i started 2 days ago. And you always make negative comments every single thread i noticed this.

Can everybody hear and see it but me? frown

Anybody in Australia who can see it?

From the very few seconds I have heard though I would agree with debrucey.
