I am looking to buy a new Yamaha T118 PE and needed some advice on recent prices or experiences of people who may have just bought one. Any reviews on this model are welcome.
I have also heard about the COSTCO Yamaha Piano Roadshows for good prices. Any advice/information on this would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

I bought one a year ago from a DC area dealer. Paid $3,500 plus tax and delivery. Although it is not made in Japan like the U1 I still think it is a good enough piano for my little boy to learn and practice on while I keep shopping for a grand. You get what you pay for so the build quality and the materials used in T118 of course can not compete with those in U1 or K3, but IMO it is more than adequate as a starter piano.
Two years ago at the COSTCO roadshow here it was listed as $3,499. Apparently the price has not gone up (or down).

A Costco sale is a mini-Event sale. The advantage to the buyer is that they brought the piano to you. The disadvantage is you cannot shop, compare, or even quietly evaluate your choice (the din of Costco covers any subtlety of the piano's performance). Typically, you will get another one out of the box and not the piano you selected. Costco has some pricing policies so that you won't pay a hugely inflated price. There is a convenience factor, but it also is like admitting before you walk in the door that you cannot tell the difference between pianos.
This forum stands as evidence that all but the most tone deaf of non-players show some signs of preference if they take any time to look. What one person may like, another could find totally uninspiring or even unpleasant to play. In fairness, this has nothing to do with the brand or model; a Yamaha T118 will suit many players.
If you've already shopped and chosen the T118, then try your luck at a store vs. the Costco approach and please report back here.
Good luck in your search!

Thank you all for the advice and information. I just purchased the T118PE. The regular price was $5999. The dealer gave a discount of $800
