From a member in Maine:

Do you now Frank Glazer? He is 96 and lives in Topsham, Maine. He is the artist-in-residence at Bates College, Lewiston. He is performing tonight 5/6/11 at 7:30 PM at Bates College a program of works he has never performed before: Bach's Chromatic Fantasy and Fugue, Liszt's Sonata in B minor, and Beethoven's Diabelli variations. The concert is free. Sorry for the last minute notice.

He is amazing. His playing is amazing. I feel lucky to be in Maine, to be able to hear his incredible concerts, and to know him. Last year, he performed sequentially the Beethoven sonatas starting in September, I think and ending in May, I think. He had never done that. They were superb. Here's a little piece from Youtube on him (3:20 minutes) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bd2L5RdkCQs

Here's the Bates blurb about tonight's concert:

About a month ago, a recording was released from 1952 of his playing of the Liszt Paganini Etudes (Smithsonian Folkways) from the Cook label.

He is also playing June 24, 2011 in Portland, ME at the Portland (Maine) Conservatory of Music International Piano Festival.
