Having another GAS attack. Considering one of the above. Used MO6 going for $550 used. New MO8 prices at $1150 and falling. And of course the MOX8 @32 lbs. would be ideal for quick jams and writing sessions. The problem is sales reps tend to get offended when I ask them where's it made? I hear the same old BS about "same stringent quality control specs and warranty" but also realize the reality of manufacturing. I do not want to have to deal with warranty or a lesser quality that "still works".

If anyone can help me with which Yamaha products are still made in Japan would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Roland RD700-GXF, Kawai MP6, Korg CX3, Korg Microstation, Logic Pro 9, Ivory II & Ivory II Italian Grand, Muse Receptor 2 Komplete Inside, Komplete Classics, Kore 2, Pianoteq 3 and my beloved MACs.

My P155 says "Made In Japan"

But the sales guy is correct, it hardly matters. Quality products can now be made anyplace. CNC machine tools don't care to much where they are

Got my answer from Yamaha support:

"The MO is discontinued and was made in Japan.

The MO's replacement- the MOX is made in China.

The Motif XF is made in Japan."

And as a matter of fact it does matter to me.
