I don't think there's any interpretation necessary. It's SPAM.

I checked and all he ever posts about is SampleTekk. Every single post he's made talks about SampleTekk and links to the SampleTekk site and/or product demos. Every. Post.

Could this be interpreted as SPAM? He is clearly advertising he own product when he write I think this is in violation forum rules. He needs to BUY an add for that. But it's a product from a top tier company that many of us would use and 50% off makes this almost an "impulse buy". So spam or not, maybe it's worth taking advantage of the sale if you think you need another sampled piano.

So far I have not heard any sampled pianos that are even in the same class as Pianoteq. And with the possibilities for editing it should not be difficult to get those pianos to sound even better than in the demos. The Sample Tekk pianos are no better than what I already have on my keyboards. have you tried galaxy steinway? or artvista grand

I just do not get the Painoteq love, I've demoed it a dozen times and although it may be musical it never gets close to sounding real. Truepianos sounds better. IMO

I have the Rain Piano and Black Grand close, both are excellent. I do too, in the form of the Nord Piano Library. And both sound amazing for upright samples. Black Upright (Petrof) and the Rain Piano (Svenska pianofabriken).

I don't as yet own any sampled Pianos, but wouldn't mind having a play around with one so this looks like a great opportunity to try something reasonable out at a decent price - unless somebody else has some better ideas - Garritan Steinway maybe??
I know it's very easy to just 'compare' one sample library off against another, but comparing Pianoteq against a sample library is a bit like comparing Apples with Oranges. They're both pianos, but they're very different - one sampled, the other modeled.
I have both PT and TP and I'd have to agree with Rick that TruePianos sounds a bit better than Pianoteq at this stage at least.
........one way or another I'm going to end up with some form of a sampled piano in my arsenal.......... (looks longingly at NS2 picture pinned to wall and mutters "soon we'll be together" )

I have not tried everything, but only compared Ivory and Sample Tekk with Pianoteq. I will see if I can find a good demo of the best Bösendorfer sample, and listen to some of the samples suggested here. One fine thing with Pianoteq is that you also have older pianos and harpsichords. A good modern concert grand has an awesome sound, but Pianoteq has modelled versions of pianos used by Mozart and Beethoven, and instruments used by the great Baroque composers. Pianoteq is a modeled piano. Sampletekk and Ivory are of course sampled. They are different. But one think you can do is play both at once. Try it. In your DAW software open a MIDI track and run Pianoteq and in a second track assign a sampled piano and arm them both and now you have a hybrid., something that can't exist in real life.

Thankyou for the suggestions BazC / Zachary. In relation to Pianoteq, I bought this over a year and a half ago and would not reccommend it to anyone. Sampling is still the way to go IMHO
