Hi,

I'm looking at the above piano with disklavier. The person is asking for $3499.00. I was wondering if anyone knows whether this is a fair price? I was also trying to find out the age of the piano or when this particular model was produced. Any guidance would be very welcome.
Thanks!

The DT2IIXG came out in 1997. When looking at this model, make sure it hasn't spent the last 14 years sitting in a restaurant or hotel lobby, being hammered for 12 hours a day. It may be worth getting a technician to run through the sensor test and calibration procedure to make sure everything on the electronic side is still up to scratch. Also, bear in mind that this piano has an acoustic piano action and may need some attention by a piano technician.
If everything looks OK, it may be worth considering but, although they were quite expensive in their day, I wouldn't spent too much on an electronic hybrid piano of that age. (It would be different with an acoustic Disklavier, as you still have a perfectly usable acoustic piano, even when the electronics can no longer be repaired)

Maybe post this over on the piano forum as well? The usual advice includes getting a tech to check out the action, hammers, soundboard, etc.
