I am trying to give my piano teacher a surprise this weekend by playing this song with my daughter for her. I thought this is easy but then I got confused. http://www.music-for-music-teachers.com/free-printable-music-sheets.htmlCan you see the two sheets of Amazing grace there?(If not, it is under beginner piano -> then "Middle C" music, then Amazing Grace. I guess the first sheet is middle C position. Then I am totally lost of the secondo part. Could someone tell me where to put my fingers? What I mean is comparing to Middle C position, where should be the second be played. Any help is appreciated.

Welcome to the forum, magicbug. I have to say I'm not crazy about that duet arrangement. To have the first part in 6/4 but the secondo part in 3/4 seems like a recipe for disaster. The secondo part is also confusing in part because both staffs are in bass clef, rather than the traditional treble/bass clef alignment. So, if you're playing the secondo part, your left hand would be playing the C below middle C. Your right hand would be playing the upper bass clef, and I would probably play the g with my thumb and middle C with my second finger. Good luck. The different time signatures would be enough for me to stay away from that arrangement, though...

Notice that in the Secondo part you are now reading music that has the bass clef on it. Thus the first note (on the top part)is a G. In relation to Middle C that is the 3rd white note to the left of middle C. And in actuality the very next note after that first one is middle C. So yea, kind of hard to play on the same piano as mentioned, but yes you can try just trying it on a different octave to see how that sounds and to give yourself room for the two of you.
