Better than some of the jazz I've heard.

Cute!
Though shouldn't this be put in the Members Recordings or perhaps the Composers Forum? smile

Yes you're probably right there.
Perhaps the mods could move it since I am unable.

Piano two paws? (Why is it some classical types think jazz is an easy target?)

I agree, it does appear that some folks have lost their fear of expressing their opinion on the "jazz" issue.

What to do about it is a much more complex arguament.
Social exclusion is obviously not working.
I don't think Jazz is "an easy target" Far more folk love jazz than don't. Jazz in fact is a very difficult "target" because the people who love and understand it are extremely clever and have made extensive technical arguaments to support it.(usually that only they can understand)

Also, the folk who understand and love it have made up a very long video on youtube that lasts for 45 mins and gives the scientific reasons why jazz is right.( in a way no-one can understand)
I know because I have watched this video in its entirety.

Disliking Jazz and saying so is not easy at all , in fact it may be illegal to have this opinion.

I believe in some states in the USA there are moves afoot to bring in the death penalty for folk who say they dont like Jazz.

I'm certainly not a "classical type".
Or classy for that matter.
And I'm fine with certain types of "jazz", and can't "appreciate" (to be polite) other types.
