he did it to himself by thinking he knew it all and was always right and looking down on everyone like most homosexuals excuse my language do from england. That's OK, I don't think anybody regards the word 'homosexual' as a swearword any more. Probably what you need to ask to be excused is your inarticulate writing, poor grammar and spelling, and lack of any coherent argument. thats already been excused multiple times on here. who are you

...I unfortunately got caught up in one of those, and realized I needed to disengage PERMANENTLY and move onto more positive and productive threads.
The recital comments -- that's a keeper.
The actual ABF Recital comments are predominately congenial and constuctive and encouraging...although a cynic would say that sometimes they tend to be a little too kind and sensitive and not enough in the way of being frank and factual (but cynics are just mean-spirited, grumpy old geezers and can be safely ignored most of the time). However, what is often not so congenial or constructive or encouraging is pre-Recital commentary about Recital comments that generally takes place in the "One Month to the Recital" thread, where who should comment and why and how is vociferously and contentiously debated to the distraction and disgruntlement of many, most notably the weary, exasprated, patience-challenged moderator who once again is forced against better judgement to exercise his awesome and arbitrary powers of ultimate censorship. All of which proves that there is no safe topic for discussion when great (but occassionally stubborn) minds meet. We've even had heated debates about whether simplified "easy piano" Classical music is actually music or not, or whether or not it's good in the long run for one's technical/artistic developement, believe it or not! What's next: a flaming debate about whether or not an entire piano performance can be accurately judged from hearing only the first phrase, or the first measure, or the first note - or even the silence before the first note? Crazy talk, I know. Trap

I've said all I want to say to you. ok let me retract that statement. my ego was typing it and it was meant as sort of a joke. when it came to music and keyboard im sure he knew more, he was older and a teacher. but im street smarter which doesnt get you really anywhere.

Wow. I come back and read the posts... and suddenly the title is even more appropriate than I had intended. Thanks, though, to those who offered encouraging words. As for this Saturday being Judgment Day, I've put the resources of my crackerjack research team on this question, and after much study and hypothesizing, they have determined that so far, every single person who has predicted the end of the world has been wrong.

And please, the posters above going on about religion, take your discussion elsewhere. I may be new, but the ABF does not welcome you here.
Maybe if you were less "new" then you would understand that the poster you are referring to(Starr Keys) was mentioning religion in reference to one notorious poster (who we all know about and who has apparently been banned) who always contaminated and derailed threads by constantly inserting his intolerant and fundamentalist and religious views. It seems that you believe that you were voted moderator and are now allowed to dictate what is or is not allowed to be discussed here. Congrats on the promotion.

Concerning the notorious religeous fanatic, It is such a shame that he was so intolerant, his music was really beautiful. I did listen to many pieces and was left thinking "How can someone write such beauty and yet be so fanatically intolerant?"
Please dont say "what about wagner", because yes some of his music is beautifull too, but I could not sit through sixteen hours of the ring cycle..

Klutz was a good guy in my book. He was interested only in making a POSITIVE contribution (playing without injury). Maybe Legal Beagle has a point here. Lots of Negativity lately.

Crazy talk, I know. Trap I never thought my own words would come back to haunt me! BTW, I used to be a journalist. Believe me, I'm used to "frank and open" discussions with some folks accused of being a cynic. Of course that's not always the case. I should know. I've lived with such a person for more than 40 years because the discussion is about how to solve problems, or isolate it down to what the issue is! Back to work! My break is done.

Things have a way of evening out. I called denicec's piano dealer and apologized for the hard time he was given. He is a nice guy and we had quite a visit. Saul is on a time-out, and I gave compiler a week off to re-think his ways. Unfortunately he thought he could get around the time-out by creating another screen name, so he is now permanently banned.

Compiler? Who was that? See what I miss by not being on PW all the time! As Monica says, silly season seems to arrive once in a while. Often that silly season corresponds to a few new people who have very strong personalities and/or who are deliberate trolls.

I hope this is true. It seems whenever someone goes too far against the grain, they end up gone forever, no matter how much positive or interesting content they contributed in the past. I guess thats what makes the world go 'round.

Do you not know that world is ending tomorrow? check this out for funny ; "I dont do refunds" The following text was copied from;http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-13468131 An atheist and entrepreneur from North Hampshire, Bart Centre, is enjoying a boost in business for Eternal Earth-bound Pets, which he set up to look after the pets of those who believe they will be raptured. He has more than 250 clients who are paying up to $135 (£83) to have their pets picked up and cared for after the rapture. They would be disappointed twice, he told the Wall Street Journal. "Once because they weren't raptured and again because I don't do refunds.

Klutz was a good guy in my book. He was interested only in making a POSITIVE contribution (playing without injury).
True, but that wasn't the only thing he was interested in - he also seemed to take a rather keen interest in, how shall I say, challenging or contesting the statements of others in his own uniquely concise and pithy style, often to their chagrin (and I suspect to his amusement). But, I miss him too! ...I never thought my own words would come back to haunt me! Sorry - didn't mean to haunt you, but your innocent words were a perfect launching pad for a leap onto a somewhat satirical soapbox... ...As for this Saturday being Judgment Day, I've put the resources of my crackerjack research team on this question, and after much study and hypothesizing, they have determined that so far, every single person who has predicted the end of the world has been wrong. the key operative words here are: so far... Do you not know that world is ending tomorrow? Did you happen to get a precise time on that? Today is the tomorrow you spoke about yesterday and PW (and the rest of the known world seem to still be here) - so far... Trap

Sorry. The world can't end today. I'm making limoncello. It won't be ready to drink until August.
Slow down and do it right.
