Hi all,
I am a beginner and is thinking about investing 4000 on a upright. Would a weinbach be a ideal choice. I have heard some pretty positive reviews on weinbach but then again, i'm just a beginner and do not know a great deal about pianos other than how i feel and how i prefer the tones to be.
Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

Sam

Have you played it yet? Do you like it better than anything else at that price point that you've played?

No need to apologize, by the way; knowing how you feel and how you prefer the tone to be will get you most of the way there. The Larry Fine book will take you the rest of the way. \:\)

you should be able to get a Yamaha U1 or U3 for that price. They are great upright pianos if you like the bright sound \:\)

At $4000, you can only get USED Yamaha U1 or U3.

(You probably left out the word "used" inadvertently, I just think that's its important to qualify your statement with the word "used" given the way the subject line of this thread is worded.)
