So, I've been pondering for a while, "What's the best way to get revenge after being jilted by an ex-girlfriend when you're a musician?"

...Well, compose your revenge... literally.

So, I think I'm going to compose a short set of piano pieces with the intent to send hand-written versions, with a CD, to said ex-girlfriend. Trying to evoke the "I hate him, but this is art..." kind of response. Which should be easy, since I think I could get away with writing crap.

I was pondering, if you were a composer trying to sarcastically exact revenge on someone by composing, what would the character and moods of the pieces be?

err

sarcastically... im not sure. but this work of mine was actually constructed with this exact situation in mind, exact revenge on someone. (coincidentally, an ex-girlfriend.)

two of them in the suite were kind of like a putting forward of really how she made me feel, and the other two are how she had made me feel before... what she's missing now, if you like. smile

I must say, when I played the work for her, she did cry... :P

Easy.....

Sounds like "wagner ride of the valkyries"

Like your climbing a mountain by the skin of your teeth and enjoying every second of it.

I don't take kindly to harsh criticism in regard to my work. I don't care how intelligent the comment may be, or how much it hits home... you will get it slammed back in your face. Otherwise I welcome all comments and idea's : )
