What do you people think of him?
Prokofiev 2nd concerto:
Bach-Busoni Chacona:
And he's recorded a TON of other things. Of the few recordings I've heard of him so far (Prok 2, Bach-Busoni, Busoni Concerto, some of Rach 3), I like his playing a lot. I think he did a complete Beethoven Sonatas recording, and I'm interested to hear that...

Just commenting on the Prokofiev because I've not heard of him before, I like it overall. Some parts in the 1st movement cadenza he seems a bit overly clean pedal-wise for my taste, but that's likely because the recording I've been listening to is messier there. I'd imagine that this clean trait carries over to the rest of his recordings?

I think he's a wonderful pianist. There's a live recording of his Appassionata on YouTube that's extremely good.
And speaking of Asian pianists, another of the same generation is unfairly neglected, in part because he made very few recordings - Minoru Nojima. Find what you can, and prepare to be amazed.

He recorded some Liszt and some French music quite a while back that I thought was especially fine. And the complete Prokofiev concertos set is excellent, too.
I think he's a very fine pianist, and regretted that he only recorded a 2 CD set of selected Beethoven Sonatas for Decca (if he's recorded the complete sonatas for another label, I'd be very interested to hear it) - there's nothing routine about his playing, and I like the way he pushes the envelope even in hackneyed works like the Liszt Mephisto Waltz No.1. And his French CD is marvellous, as is his Bach-Busoni and Prokofiev concertos and sonatas (which I actually prefer to Ashkenazy's).

This is his supposed recording of the Busoni Piano Concerto (my friend from Korea insists that he is the pianist in the recording), but I find no information on the orchestra, conductor, or men's choir. Furthermore, I've found NO trace that he recorded this concerto, although it is no secret that it is in his repertoire.
Anyone who is familiar with recordings of this piece know if this is him or somebody else?
