Hi everybody! I'm new to this forum. My daughter started piano lessons in October. She's doing great! In part to help motivate her and in part just for me, I have been working through the exercise books with her and having a blast. Quarter notes and simple rhythms in the Key of C are my friends but I am working on learning to love B-flat and F-sharp.

I am looking forward to meeting you and hopefully get tips for good pieces to work on :-).

Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm going to go back to the Important Stuff for Adult beginners now.

This is a great place, great people - you'll get lots of support and encouragement as you start off (and continue!) this great adventure.

Follow your teacher's instructions and practice wisely/much, and you'll soon wonder how you ever found it hard. BobPickle

Another thing you learn along the way is that the music will still be there when you are ready for it.There's no reason to rush.JimF

Thanks for all the welcomes! I worked through the first Piano Adventures book with my daughter which is a little trickier. I am going to look for an easy classical book today or tomorrow. Hi to Ben!
