Hello everybody! I want to buy a piano, but i'm not sure what type is suitable for me as a beginner. I played piano for a year and then i quitted...now i want to start again. I take a look on some brands...but i don't know which one is the best. What's your opinion about KORG SP-170 S BK? Thanks!

Hi Catheryne, Welcome to the Adult Beginners Forum. This is the Adult Beginners Forum where we usually talk about learning to play the piano. There is another forum called the Piano Forum where they mostly talk about buying pianos. You will get very good advice there. Just scroll to the top of this page and click on Forum List, then click on the Piano Forum and start reading and posting. Good luck and feel free to drop by and visit us any time. Jim

Hi Catheryne,
You might also want to use the search box in the upper right hand column and search the posts for the digital pianos you want to audition.
Glad you found the forums and hope you find helpful information.

yes...i still want it classical music, romantic style...Richard Clayderman Great! If you can, I think an acoustic would be better (particularly for classical music). But if you are a beginner, as you say, you can probably also start with a digital. I had a digital too until now (I just bought an acoustic). The acoustic is much better and I love it! However, there are people who say that if you start on a digital you will have problems with an acoustic later. This is not true either because I got accustomed to it in a couple of hours. (I had played old acoustics before, but with a brand new piano it is usually a little bit more difficult.) So if you can't buy an acoustic now, but a digital and buy an acoustic later when you feel the moment has come. At any rate, congratulations on your choice to play this wonderful instrument!
