We always so love attending Jeffrey's concerts.
In addition to being one of the world's finest concert pianist, he is one of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet. We had the additional pleasure of meeting his family tonight and what a treat that was.
His lovely wife and two smart, polite, talented sons were a joy to be with.
Jeffrey played brilliantly as always, brining the crowd to it's feet at the end of each piece he performed.
I love the Leroy Anderson piano concerto, and as everyone knows I'm a huge Keith Emerson fan, so Jeffrey's performance of Keith's Piano Concerto was a special treat for me.
When the audience's applause insisted on an encore, Jeffrey was kind enough to treat us to his virtuoso (and fun) performance of Rush Hour in Hong Kong, a piece played for fun to be sure, but not to be taken lightly.
As Kathy said after watching him play Rush Hour, his fingers really do fly, and it seems like he has a third hand.
The Space Coast Symphony Orchestra did an amazing job tonight, expertly performing these pieces with very little rehearsal. Under the direction of Aaron Collins, a 28 year old wunderkind they made the music come alive.
I was particularly impressed with the sound their string sections produced, some of the most beautiful tones I've heard from any orchestra.
And if that wasn't enough, the amazing composer Kenneth Fuchs was in the audience because the orchestra opened with his wonderful piece United Artists.
After the program was over we all went to a local restaurant for food, drinks, and conversation. Definitely a magical and fun evening!
Here are a few pictures from the concert...
