I plan to buy a digital piano and found an advertisement on craigslist:Kawai CA 91(almost brand new) for $2000. I know Kawai CA series are pretty good, and I love CA 93 very much although it is too expensive for me. How do you think about this deal? Is it pretty good price for CA 91? Thanks a lot for all your comments!

I think CA 91 is an outdated model, with previous generation action and sound generation. Personally I have not seen it for sale in new condition anywhere, so I cannot comment on the price. However, if you like the CA 93, the 63 model is only lacking a few whistles and the additional sound board system, plus let-off (which anyways is a flaw resulting from a limitation in acoustic piano mechanics and in my opinion a useless addition in DPs that can function without it). Last time I checked it sold for 1800-1900 GBP, so around 2300-2400 USD I'd imagine.

You can take a look at CA13 too, with the same CA93/63 action.

Pin Liu, as others have already noted, the CA91 is an older model that utilises previous generation action and sound technologies. However, the action (AWA Grand Pro II) is still very capable, while the soundboard speaker is also a premium feature. While the internal tone generator may sound a little dated compared to Kawai's current 88-key UPHI technology, there is nothing to prevent you using a computer running a software piano (Ivory, Pianoteq, etc.) and re-routing the sound back into the CA91.
$2000 is perhaps still a little expensive, especially for a second hand instrument, although this obviously depends on how well it has been looked after.
Kind regards, James x

http//sweetwater.com is listing the new MP6 for $1499 and MP10 for $2499, if you don't have to have a console. Add a couple of powered speakers, and there you are.
Console looks nice as a piece of furniture, and is tidier. No separate parts, cables, etc. But there's something to be said for the economy, portability, and flexibility of a keyboard setup. Also, the technology moves on before you know it, so...
