Well, the playing of our wedding song on the cruise went off OK. I never heard back from the senior cruise director so I took matters into my own hands. I went to the purser's desk and they helped me gain access to the main dining room piano for about 1 1/2 hrs practice. The music director contacted the Piano Bar performer and gave him a heads up I'd like to play it that night. We all headed to the piano bar after dinner and my buddy who plays harmonica was called up to join the piano player. When he went up, he mentioned to the paino player what was going on and they called me up. This is the first time I have played in front of anyone and my hands were shaking so bad I could hardly find the keys!!! Add to it the pressure of getting our wedding song right...wheew! I managed to get about half way through it before I just went blank! But, the crowd was really into the moment and it totally surprised my wife! So all in all, a success!

Nice one. Well done. Takes some courage to do that. Be very proud of yourself.

Congratulations, Cobra, on both your anniversary and your successful performance gift. I am pleased for you that it went well, and I'm doubly pleased at your attitude... this same post, written by someone else, could easily have read something like this: "It went horribly! My hands were shaking and halfway through I drew a complete blank! I'm so mortified!" Good for you.

Wow! That is so impressive that you 1) thought of such a romantic thing and 2) got up there and did it. GOOD for you. Blessings on your marriage for many years.

Beagle...oh believe me, I beat myself up initially...but then I realized...Hey, nobody else was up there and it was all in fun and in remembrance of 30 wonderful years. So, quit being so hard on yourself! Thanks for the words of encouragement!
