laugh I couldn't stop laughing Wayne! I'm glad I hang out with someone in the know about these things wink
Thanks!

I'm just lurking today while I'm finishing up some household chores. I may have time to post something later. We'll see. I'm just taking it easy today because it will be hectic when I get back to work. We've got 2 big shows coming up at the theater, and I've got my work cut out for me!

Later folks! BTW, thanks again for all of the kind responses to our postings on Sunday. It was a lovely day for me, and I felt honored.

Later!

The DID was excellent guys.

Here is something interesting I found (from the geniuses who brought you the treadmill video).
I love how they use the car's signal light as a metronome to count in the song, and the guitar solo is epic.

PPP that was amazing thanks, most impressive.. liked the bit at the end as well "did we get it?" I bet he was glad the answer was yes!!
That must have taken ages to set up.
Brilliant.

Forgot to mention AimeeO's Piano is being delivered tommorrow, at the moment AimeeO is reading a post entitled "despite the snow my new piano arrived today" This is because she is very very excited.
Am i correct AimeeO?

Morning everyone. Before I get ready for work I thought I'd share some Taj Mahal. Here is "Corinna" for all of you blues fans out there!

That's all I have time for now. I'll be checking in later. I must squeeze in a little piano practice time before I head into the office. Off I go! Have a great day everyone!

While we wait for pics of Aimee’s piano, I can offer these photos of my new piano lamp. My wife has given me it for my saint's day (Saint Richard the Saxon - San Ricardo el Sajón). Now I have no excuses to improve my sight-reading!

Thanks so much Rossy, but actually today is not my birthday, but my saint's day. Here we celebrate the saint’s day for every name. For this reason today is my saint's day (Ricardo).

Well, as today is my saint’s day, I’m going to take a personal caprice.

I wanted to post about Bruckner some time ago, but I didn’t know how to do it. I’ve found this video, where the ninth symphony is performed by the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, and conducted by Blomstedt.

Yes, this symphony lasts one hour, but the interpretation is really good. It’s impressive to see how Blomstedt conducts these young musicians to the deep of Bruckner’s music. If any of you is a Brucknerian, this can be an amazing rendition for you.

P.D. The introduction is interesting, but it’s pretty long. The performance starts at 12 minutes.

Hi everybody!

You are always correct, Rossy. wink The wait is terrible. In 24 hours they will be delivering. Luckily there is no snow or rain (with a nice high of 66F) expected. I have been a lazy bum and haven't even felt like practicing on my digital. I do need to figure out how to post pictures, so perhaps I can spend some of my day figuring out how to do so. We have some errands to run this afternoon, so at least I'll stay busy.

Happy Saint's Day, Recaredo!! I like your lamp a lot. I will listen to the Bruckner today while I am doing stuff online.

Nice Vivaldi, Becca!

Griffin, I will post pictures I promise. It may be later in the day when I settle down, because I am sure I will be worthless tomorrow. Oh I forgot to tell you one of my presents from my mom was a Dett CD, performed by Denver Oldham.. it is fabulous! I hope Claire de Lune is coming along well.

Wayne, I'm so glad that the aliens gave you back. It is nice to see you pop in from time to time.

Eglantine, I see you went to Harpsichord class the the other day. Did you ever get the consolation harpsichord? I can't remember.

Here's Eddie Spaghetti playing Kris Kristofferson's "Best of All Possible Worlds."

Aimee, please let me know how the Dett CD is. I'll look it up on Amazon. However, I'd really appreciate your evaluation. Well my lunch break is done, and I must get back to work. I'll check in with everyone later.

Ooooh, yes. "Kick" was one of the first two CDs I got when I got my first CD player. That tour was when I saw my second concert, I had the 5 foot tall Kick poster, and although I was really more "bothered" about Simon LeBon at the time I have to say Michael Hutchence was quite pleasing also. I especially liked the hair up in the black ribbon phase.

I'll figure it out eventually.
Until then you may want to keep a safe distance.

Yes.. he was one of my many crushes. It was the hair.

Today has been the longest day. I was excited that my pre-ordered copy of "Life as I Blow It" by Sarah Colonna was arriving today. It would have been a quick and hilarious read that got me through the day. Unfortunately, it arrived in such condition that I thought it fell off the truck and was run over, and was forced to return it.

Oh, they had this over in Pianist Corner in the Member Recordings section. I love it! (Please ignore the word Jazz, Rossy..)
