Annotation Question

Started working on a Yiruma song today (Love Me). In the 13th measure, there are two annotations I am confused on. First, in very small script it has a note indicated that scoops to the next note which is in regular script.
Does this mean the small ote is actually an octave above and since there is on room on the sheet they use superscript? Usually, that is indicated by "8 EV" isn't it?
Then the next three notes...G, A and Dotted C are under a bracket that has a "3" above it. Normally, I would think that was indicative of needing to be played during the third repetition...but there is no indication to repeat anything after playing the two sheets of music.
I wish I had a way of posting the music here.
Thanks

The small note is probably a grace note, to be played just before the next note and borrow a little time frome the main note.
The bracket with 3 above indicates a triplet, to be played in the time of one quarter note.
