or one liners from the Pianist Corner or Piano Forum.

Ones that have actually appeared at some time in the present or past.

PLEASE don't choose ones that you think are stupid, nasty, etc. but ones that are genuinely funny.

The one from the Piano Forum that just got revived and gave me the idea for this thread is a thread called

I just accidenally bought a 9' Chickering

A recent one from the Piano Forum after a discussion of the price of Bechstein Concert 8 vertical:

Can one really enjoy a piano after paying that price?Funny whether or not it was meant seriously.

The one that kept getting my attention was "The Creation of a 14 Year Old Boy".
Now, I knew that it had to be about something created BY a 14 yr old, but everytime I read it, I thought of the Rocky Horror Picture Show and "In Just 7 Days, I Can Make You a Man".

Quite some time ago in the coffee room, somebody posted a thread and got almost a full page of discussion going. It was a rather pleasant discussion. Then he edited the thread title and his initial post, and it completely changed the meaning of everybody's comments in the entire discussion. (It sounded like everyone was talking about sex, including the priest in the forum.) It made a farce out of everybody, and people were scrambling to change their posts, but it was too late because the OP had already quoted everyone in his own posts!

Edit: NO, it was actually the opposite! He started a discussion about sex, and everybody started making their own jestful comments. Then he changed the thread title to something very innocent and naive (about pumpkins, if I remember correctly), and then pretended that he couldn't believe why everyone was talking about sex.

I know that's not exactly what you were looking for, but it involved an edited thread title and was very hilarious. It also shows the potential power of a well-crafted thread title.

Composers manufacture a product that is universally deemed superfluous—at least until their music enters public consciousness, at which point people begin to say that they could not live without it.

See if you can guess what the original thread title was. (By the way, now you can probably tell why the Coffee Room was booted out of Piano World.......)

"Just started to pick up the piano"

I can't help wanting to respond "put it down immediately or your arms will get tired"

Some titles are funny when they are truncated on the top level, leaving a lot to your imagination.
