Beware of The Fatar Studiologic Numa Nano

I need a 88 key MIDI keyboard controller to run Ivory 2 (and other virtual instruments) in a Muse Receptor 2+ PRO machine ...
On paper the Numa Nano looked great -- very lightweight (22 lbs.), supposedly a nice Fatar action, good MIDI controls, etc.
On various forums (including this one) the reviews were very mixed -- a lot of them said that the build quality was bad on many of the units ...
These days it is virtually impossible to find a new one in the US so I got one used from the Guitar Center that was supposedly in mint condition ...
Although the keyboard action was fine (I'm used to the Fatar feel after using a Kurzweil K2500 keyboard for over 10 years) the electronics in their touch sensitive pad was both not intuitive at all AND on my unit it was completely malfunctioning -- I would press the touchpad keys the way said to in the manual and it would often do something else, the same swipe produced different results at different times, and frequently the parameters changed without me even touching any of the keypads !
I played it (and tested it) for about 4 hours and concluded that it was defective ... I get the feeling a lot of the Numa Nanos are like that ...
I returned it to the Guitar Center and ordered a Kurzweil SP4-8 keyboard which is stage piano ... the Kurzweil has the same keybed as the Nano but looks like it should work great in a virtual instrument context ... the internal sounds appear to be not that great but I just really need it to be a MIDI Controller ... and it was a good weight (39 pounds) ...

... supposedly a nice Fatar action "Nice" and "Fatar" are a contradiction in terms.

... supposedly a nice Fatar action "Nice" and "Fatar" are a contradiction in terms. LOL. Their TP40WOOD is actually quite nice. Poor MIDI implementation, but nice action mechanically.

I bought a Studiologic Numa Nero and I was very disappointed with it (problem of velocity, keys too heavy for me and several keys made a strange noise) I back it to the shop and buy a Yamaha CP50 (honestly I don't regret !!! the keys on the CP50 are really dynamic I never find that on my old DP, it's a really pleasure to use it )

Had an 880 for years. Definitely NOt a piano touch, but neither was the cp33 Yammy, although the yammy was better. Now I'm looking a Fatar Numa Black (wood) keys. Action FEELS much more like the acoustic piano I play on.
Would be using it with software samples ONLY. So there would be a problem... hmmm... I don't need the sounds on the Kawai mp6, which looks like the next step...
What to do!!
