$50 reward seems a little lite for all the potential people sending in $5 per submission.
I mean I would be willing to create a site post a competition and make more money on the fees than what I pay out, shoot I'll have a competition per week if that's the case.

Ive never heard of redscarfclassical and they really don't say who they are or what they have produced.

** I've never participated in a composition contest to base all of this on. Can others enlighten me on the similarities or differences between those competitions and this one?

As it states in the description, Red Scarf Classical is a branch out from "Red Scarf Records". I set it up after the success of the original label. So this is a new business coming from an established one. Therefore this competition is in it's beginnings. As it states, the prize money grows with the popularity. The aim with the competition isn't for the company to make a profit (let's face it, you'd need a heck of a lot of people to enter and a heck of a lot of marketing to start calling it a source of income!) but rather it is to give more people the opportunity to be credited for their work. If it did make more money, that would be used to pay the judges and then more prize money for next time.
£50 is a trial prize, but I'd love to see it rocket if enough people showed interest!

I'd love to but I'm not that good yet. Getting there though...
