Probably means, "with hammers by Abel." Abel is a German company (Frankenhardt) that makes very fine piano hammers in different grades for different pianos/reasons,

A local dealer is offering a rebuilt S&S model O that I might be interested in. I haven't looked at it yet but am curious about one thing in the ad: it says, in Swedish, "Nytt hammarlag och spelarrullar från Abel". I guess this has to do with the mechanics, "hammarlag" is probably related to the hammers, but what could "spelarrullar" (lit: "play rolls"") mean and what kind of company is "Abel"? Is this an older reproducing piano? One that plays itself using paper rolls? If it is you need to know that the casework and keys are longer than those of a normal Model O. The extra length was to accomodate the mechanical reproducing mechanism. ddf
