I literally just finished notating this digitally five minutes ago, so there's no recording. The piece took me around a month to complete (although most of that time was thinking about where to go rather than the actual writing). Take a look, play through it if you need to hear it, and tell me what you think!

Nocturne in B minor (Google Docs)

EDIT: What a fitting hundreth post!

Nice Piece, I just quickly listened to it mentally, The right hand melody sort of reminded me of that romantic theme from the old star wars movies.Only thing I can suggest at this point is to maybe keep the left hand arpeggios a bit simple and to avoid doing it in a manner the plays every note in the tonic triad sequentially. I hope this makes some sense.

Thanks for the feedback! I just have a couple of questions.

What do you mean by simpler?

What would it gain from rearranging it so the triads are more jumbled?

Do you think the fughetta is too dissonant?

I like the Fughetta, I think that the level of Dissonance incorporated is alright, and the piece doesn't get lost at all which I think is also nice.

I guess what I meant by "simpler" is that I would use less notes in the base to kind of get away form that sense of arppeggiating D,F,A,D,F,A. I would just add a little bit more variety, Just look at how Chopin does his Nocturnes.

Hmm, I see your point, he does tend to vary the harmony often, though I like how the base goes with the main theme in this case. I'll keep that in mind for later projects, though. Thanks very much! Feedback is greatly appreciated. I'm glad you liked the fughetta.
