Want to buy Kawai MP6 in Vancouver, BC

Dear forum members and possibly Kawai employees, I want to buy the Kawai MP6, but I live in Vancouver, BC, Canada, and neither Long Mcquade nor Tom Lee (the 2 major music stores here) carry Kawai products. However, I see there is a recent thread (a month ago) from a fellow user who ordered MP10 from Long Mcquade in Ontario. So...I guess the LM in Ontario carries Kawai products? I already have a financing account with Long Mcquade, and I would very much like to use that account to finance my purchase. Beside, if I can order from LM locally, that will save me a lot of shipping and taxes. I might have to pay an extra $500 if I order from the U.S. It seems like the only way to get it, is to have the Vancouver manager to make a special order through the Ontario store, and have the MP6 shipped to the Vancouver store from Ontario. I've spoke with the local digital piano department salesman at Long Mcquade already, and he's literally useless. I've noticed Kawai James seems to have a lot of sources and connection, and I may need some insider help to get this purchase processed. If any of you also have some solutions to offer for my situation, please definitely let me know, and all of your time & attention is sincerely appreciated. Cheers

I got mine from KraftMusic and shipped it to Point Roberts and picked it up there. $1500 USD + $10 storage fee + 12% HST at the border. if you can get 15% off at musician's friends and have it shipped to Point Roberts it probably works out to be even cheaper.

There is a piano dealer/restorer/tech in Victoria that may be able to help you. http://pianohq.com/barkmans-music-centreI've known him for ten years, and am aware that he has access to several lines of DPs (even though he does not handle DPs in his store - he was a Technics dealer until Technics discontinued DPs). Try Carillon Music. I think they have Kawai's digital lines.

Sorry for the long absence, but here is an update.
I couldn't find any local dealers with MP6 at a good price. (They either have it, but is overpriced, or they just can't order it) Ordering from the states seemed like my best choice, but then I wouldn't be able to finance it, and the shipping, driving, and taxes will still make me end up paying more than I should.
In the end, I decided to settle for another brand. After researching and trying out a lot of keyboards, I decided to buy the Roland FP-7F with financing. I'm looking at about $200 a month. It's true that with interest I'm also paying more than I should, but at least now I can afford it and I can resume my piano career very soon.
Thanks again for all the useful and friendly inputs, and I look forward to discuss more topics with everyone in the future.
Cheers

Congrats and enjoy! I'm surprised you had such a hard time before. It's too bad your dealer didn't have the same promotion we have here in the States on Roland, though. Many people can qualify for 6 or even 12 months same-as-cash through a deal with GE Money.
