For me, it has always been the Pathetique, the entire thing gets stuck in my head everytime I play it.

unfortunately Pachebel's one hit wonder probably wins this one. I suppose it is a good demonstration of how being overly catchy can get old very quick,

I nominate Mozart's Clarinet Concerto's second movement. It's been used in more art-house movies (and even mainstream Hollywood ones) than almost any other classical tune. And it's so (apparently) simple - the art that conceals art which is so characteristic of Wolfie.

++++ For both Eine Kleine Nachtmusik and Beethoven's Ninth.

Other great tunes:

Finale of Haydn Symphony #88

1st Movement of Mendelssohn's "Italian" Symphony (That opening has to be one of the most exhilirating moments in music.)

The finale of Bizet's Symphony in C is just crammed with memorable tunes, my favorite being the "I-cannot-get-this-tune-out-of-my-head" melody starting at 1:17.

I heard Grieg's "Wedding Day at Troldhaugen" on the classical station where I live. I was so enamored with the tune that I actually drove a roundabout path to my destination in order to lengthen my drive and hear the whole piece. Afterwards, as I eagerly awaited the name and composer, all I heard was "That was [performer's name] playing Grieg's piano music."

Great.

I searched for weeks through all of Grieg's pieces, having only the key signature to go off of (I have perfect pitch.) After being unable to find it, I expressed my frustration to my teacher. She asked what it sounded like, so I played out what I could remember of the melody on the piano. One of her assistants came up to me and told me what the piece's name was. I couldn't thank him more!

It's a great piece, listen to it. Maybe not the most technically demanding, but I have heard few melodies as infectious as Wedding Day at Troldhaugen

I have a bias for Piano Solo, but I will add Dvorak's Humoresque No. 7 and his Slavonic Dances. Particularly Op 72. No 10.

Also, Pavane Op. 50 by Gabriel Faure,
Funeral March of a Marionette,
the Sorcerer's Apprentice,
Burgmuller's Arabeque,
Aquarium by Saint Saens,
Dance Macabre by Saint Saens,
and
The Happy Farmer by Schumann

And to a lesser degree Sarabande by Corelli; Sonatine Op.151 No.3 by Diabelli; and Bartók's Romanian Folk Dances.

The slow theme in the 4th movement of Prokofiev's 2nd concerto got glued to my brain for a very long time....

I'm sorta weird though, the same thing happened to me with the development of the 1st movement of Prokofiev's 8th sonata D:

Working on:
Chopin - Nocturne op. 48 no.1
Debussy - Images Book II
