Sorry, I didn't mean to insult your piano I have a question for you: when you play with headphones, do you feel that the TRS helps make it feel more realistic, or do you turn it off? The reason I ask is, I was considering the N2 instead of the N1 because I will probably play it more often with headphones, and thought that the TRS might help. But I thought I read on another thread (cant't remember who said it) that the TRS felt annoying while playing with headphones for some reason... I completely forgot to play the N2 with headphones - I was focusing more on the speaker sound...

I use TRS with headphones. The instrument defaults to TRS OFF, when headphones are used. I think this is because whatever creates the vibrations is also making sound (at the same pitch as the instrument), so with TRS ON and headphones, you are making sound that can be heard by others. But it's at a low level. And your headphones leak sound anyway. And, most important, the action is making all kinds of sound -- thud, thud, thud.
When I use the N2 these days, it is to run Synthogy Ivory II. The N2's real calling is as a MIDI controller. Ultimately, that is the fate of any digital piano. The development of technology antiquates the samples way before the action wears out.

There are three levels of TRS feedback (and you can turn it off). I quite like it with headphones but it feels slightly strange on the highest, most pronounced level. The presence of the TRS is an advantage for the N2 over the N1. But I'm not at all keen on the lid of the N2 - for proper sound projection the lid has to be up, thereby (in my opinion) very significantly reducing the visual appeal of the N2.
Weighing it all up, and judging solely on the paper specs, I'd probably have the N1 over the N2 and do something else with the money I'd saved. I haven't played either so it's possible I'd change my mind after gaining some experience of both.
I am fairly sure the key surface thing would not be an issue to me, but again that is a personal choice.
Steve

Thank you both for your quick response! It gets overwhelming when you try to compare pianos and consider the pros and cons... If I could afford it, I would just get the N3 - that would make everything a lot easier!
